The New Homemaker

Lately we have been reassessing what direction our lives are taking and what path we want to go down.  For me that is working in the home, supporting my family, cooking from scratch, knitting, crochet, sewing, making our own cleaning products, growing our own food and homeschooling.  There is something that I find very satisfying about all these things and there is always something new to learn.

There is a fantastic post today on Down to Earth that explains the role of the new homemaker and how we can stand up to our critics and the value of the work we do in the home.  If you are interested in this type of lifestyle and work I would really recommend checking it out.

  4. I quite often think about homeschooling but have never actually bitten the bullet. Love the idea of being home with the kids more though :)

    1. We definitely thought and researched a lot about homeschooling we haven't officially started yet, but as soon as the kids are school aged we're straight into it. Thanks for your comment :)
