Our Weekend and a Fresh Start!

Hello, I'm back from my very long break, it was well needed and we managed to sort out a few issues and things that cropped up over the Christmas period and deal with a few things that had been lingering around all year.  I can feel already that 2014 is going to be a great fresh year and I am choosing to start my new year now, in February.

This year I will be blogging on a more regular basis and I have a plan of what I want to blog about and when.  We are unofficially starting homeschool kindergarten this year (today is the first day) and we are off to our first kindergym meet up and then lunch in the city with a visit to the library.

The topics that I want to blog about this year include meal planning, what we did on the weekends, homemaking/organising, craft, art, op/thrift shop finds, homeschool, our garden and anything else that comes up.  I hope that you will stay tuned and join us for these new adventures :)

To start with here is what we did on our weekend, on Saturday we stayed home all day as it was quite hot especially in the afternoon, we just hid inside with the fans on.  On Sunday we went to a local Chinese New Year festival and it was great they had free crafts for the kids, yummy Chinese food, entertainment, games and Master E got his photo taken with the Chinese dragon!  When we got home we were going to bake some sweet honey bread for Lammas, but it was just too hot to have the oven on so we may do some baking this afternoon.

How was your weekend? What did you get up to?

  1. Having a blogging plan sounds like a great idea. I'm very inspired sometimes, and then really struggle (like everyone, I'm sure) - a plan might be a way to keep me on track, since I do enjoy routines. I'm looking forwards to seeing what you write!

My weekend was mainly hot. So hot. Not in a fun way. With doctor's waiting rooms thrown in for good measure. We're very much looking forwards to autumn.

  2. Oops, worked out that I can use name/URL on your blog! So this is actually me. :D

    1. Hi Jenny thanks for popping over :) I like getting into a routine too, having a bit of a plan for what I blog helps me spread out what I want to share too! I am very much looking forward to Autumn too I don't think I'm made for the heat lol
